New Year, new me? Yeah Sure....

It's that time! Time for New Year's Resolutions and vowing to be awesome. So here's my list, Bridgette Jones style: 1. Lose 28 pounds. (ok, I'll take 15. Or 10. Just being not overweight please) 2. Get in shape. Seriously, this should be #1 but it wouldn't be Jonesy, would it? My current fitness level will render me a zombie five minutes after the first zombie outbreak due to lack of cardio.... 3. Be a consistently better housekeeper. (Read- use couch for guests to sit, not laundry.) 4. No online spending. Ooooohhhh, that's a tough one. I can do this! 5. Work on my spiritual life. I'm going to try to read the bible more, and pray the rosary more. I really, really, REALLY need me some more Jesus. At church, at home, everywhere. I need to acknowledge him and talk to him more. That's it. Sounds totally attainable, right? Just do squats while I fold clothes and say the rosary while ignoring the sales on eBay. Ok, then.

So it begins...

Anyone who knows me, knows I have five  major loves; Coffee...the habit I have had since I was six (long story, and no, my parents did not know) and have not been able to shake since. Books...Probably the most obsessive and unhealthy relationship I have, and the longest. Books and I are two peas in a pod, they are my best friend. I have warned my husband not to make me choose between them...which leads to... My husband. We met when I was 17 and have been madly in love with him ever since. Luckily, he feels the same way, because there would be no way he could tolerate me 14 years without being crazy for me as well (or just crazy.) My kids. I have five here, and one waiting for me in Heaven. They are 12 down to 3, and I love the madness and chaotic challenge of trying to raise saints with my genetics. Any parent can tell you how marriage and parenthood is a vocation: I am challenged everyday to be a better person in my efforts to make them good persons. And finally... C...
